The IRiS LED Fibre Optic Light Source & Strands Bundle can be used with almost any standard fibre optic products.
It can be used to give your old fibre optic a new lease on life by producing intense, vibrant colours. It’s a great way to develop colour matching, colour recognition and cause & effects skills.
The bundle can be controlled using any IRiS Talker making it very versatile and accessible.
Use with the IRiS Colour Selector for theming and colour recognition or the IRiS Soundswitch for vocalization or cause and effect.
The unit comes complete with a tail of fibre optic strands, which are wonderfully tactile. The fibre optic can be laid across a person’s lap to create a close, hands-on experience.
There is no electricity in the fibre optic, only light, ensuring safety for the user.
The unit can be used for social interaction, colour recognition, or colour matching, and can be used in a sensory room, on a ward or in almost any environment.
It also features a calming mode with slowly changing colours can be used for relaxation or de-escalation for individuals with dementia. This mode automatically starts if no button is activated for a period of 5 minutes.
Operates on mains voltage transformed to low voltage.
The unit is designed to be portable, but the light source must be kept out of reach.
