The IRiS LED Fibre Optic Cascade is a wonderfully tactile product that gives the impression of a colour changing curtain.
The product can be controlled by any IRiS Talker and can be mounted on a wall or above a doorway to create the effect of a colour-curtain that must be peered through, enhancing anticipation.
Easily accessible for wheelchair users due to the swivelling wall mount bracket, the tactile fibre optic can be laid across a person’s lap to create a close, hands-on experience.
There is no electricity in the fibre optic, only light, ensuring safety for the user.
The IRiS LED Fibre Optic Cascade also features a calming mode with slowly changing colours that can be used for relaxation or de-escalation for individuals with dementia.
It is illuminated by an integral LED light source, which operates on mains voltage transformed to low voltage.
